Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (Trailer Review)

Here is the link.

Square seems to have spent a lot into their marketing department. (Hopefully, they could’ve spent more on Mighty No. 9. XD)

So let’s go analyze this review.

There is absolutely no gameplay in this trailer.

There are a lot of references to Nazism. Hence, Mankind Divided, as humans are divided into “concentration camps” as the game advertised. It came off as a little cheap and I didn’t really get that this was what the game was about. The discrimination themes seemed stronger, but I dunno. The brand seems a little generic and commercial. All the actors are shot in HD cameras and look like models. A lot of the terminology seemed recycled and regurgitated from the first game than developed upon. Then again, I dunno what you could’ve made a sequel out of this franchise. It seems a little like Uncharted, where the game doesn’t change anything severely, keeping the status quo, so people can enjoy Call of Duty-ish sequels of a franchise; the script feels the same too.

Where is the main character? Does this have anything to do with the game?

I see some gore with some of the limb violence getting out of everything.

I dunno what I think about the acting either. People seem to be reciting lines rather than actually talking to each other.
