Dynasty Warriors Orochi (PS2) review

I really enjoyed this game. It was the first Warriors game I owned. My brother hated it, because of its repetitive nature, but I really enjoyed the different varieties that were put into each character, adding an amount of depth to the game.

Some levels seemed impossible to beat without an additional character, which might’ve added to my brothers’ frustation, but I found it fun.

The cannon fodder was of course a waste, but having only played the original Dynasty Warriors, it seemed to be a good amount of variety to come up with something new which may have led to Dragon Quest Heroes or Hyrule Warriors. I also wonder how big Dynasty Warriors was in Taiwan, since there wasn’t much of a market in mainland due to banned video games there at the time.
