The highly anticipated game, The Last Guardian has been delayed: the game launches on PlayStation 4 on December 9th, 2016 in the UK and Ireland, and December 7th across Europe. The game was under development nearly a whole decade ago, 2007, anticipating a PS3 launch. Prior, it had been due out October 25th, 2016, after its more recent announcement of its development.
On the PlayStation Blog, Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida announced and explained that the delay was a difficult decision, but “we have encountered more bugs than anticipated while in the final stages of development.”
Other quotes from Yoshida include:
“To ensure that The Last Guardian delivers on the experience that the game’s creators have envisioned, we need to take the extra time to work on those issues,”
“Our development continues to push itself to the fullest and we look forward to revealing new content towards the launch.
“We appreciate your continued support.”
The Last Guardian is a game created by the heads of Ico, and is about a boy with a much higher produced Snorlax, who reacts to your every reaction.
